As the end approaches

Seems like life at RCLC is one big party at the moment…

Not really, but we did just have our Christmas Party last Friday and it was great to see families and individuals having a good time together, enjoying the sausage sizzle, Christmas Carols sung by our Childcare children, and a very special visit from Santa Claus himself.

We had a few happy people go home with hampers – thanks to all the parents, carers, and adult learners at RCLC who donated such a variety of items to share with other community members.  Many of our staff and committee members also freely gave their time to organise and help run this social event, ensuring that everyone there was being looked after and entertained – thank you.  The look of joy on the children’s faces was the best reward.

For a glimpse of what went on, check out our RCLC Christmas Party Album.

The next event is on this Friday (16 December at 12:30pm) where we will be having an end-of-year celebration (what, again? yes, but this is different) and, in particular, to launch the amazing makeover of a formerly-neglected room in The Stables (see our Eco Makeover Album).  Thanks to the design inspirations and practical transformations by Lysette (and a couple of creative helpers in the handmade cushions department) we now have a welcoming space for our community members. And isn’t that an important part of a neighbourhood house?
